Dunkin’ Party Treats Schwenksville Scholarship Winner

Filmed and produced by Meghan Drakas for The Post

SCHWENKSVILLE PA – Miah Gresh, a Schwenksville resident and Perkiomen Valley High School graduate, looked down at a box filled with Dunkin’-brand donuts, and saw her face staring back up. She laughed.

It wasn’t just her frosted image atop a filled treat that tickled her fancy. Dunkin’ and its Community Cruiser arrived outside Gresh’s Salem Road home Thursday (Aug. 6, 2020), packing not only a celebratory party for herself, friends and relatives but the reason to celebrate.

Gresh is one of 25 students selected this year to receive a $2,000 academic scholarship from the popular coffee, snacks and meals retailer and Scholarship America.

Reporter Meghan Drakas, on behalf of The Post, interviewed both the scholarship winner and a Dunkin’ representative, and filmed the community as it enjoyed the party. The video was filmed and produced by Drakas, who has already amassed substantial experience working with and in televisions newsrooms across southeastern Pennsylvania.
